Google Redesigns Docs, Sheets, and Slides on Android Devices

Google announced that it will introduce a “modernized visual design” for its three most-used productivity apps – Docs, Sheets, and Slides – on Android devices to match the consistency that the web experience offers. This will make it more convenient to switch from desktops or laptops to Android devices.
A Simpler Look for Google in Android
According to Google, some Android users will start noticing the redesigned visuals, including editing toolbar, icons, background colors, and among others, in the coming weeks so don’t be surprised when your Google productivity apps start to look different. However, it has yet to be announced which specific Android devices the latest redesign will be carried out on.

Google Adds Modernized Design to your Interface
For now, Google mentioned that the visual updates include smart canvas features available in Sheets that can be accessed when opening a new spreadsheet or tab in the app. Users can now see “Type @ to insert” to use the new features.
The refreshed look also appears to have a larger screen and image drag-and-drop support. Google previously rolled out the ability of Calendar API to help read and write a user’s working location and the call management of Google Voice, where they can now control incoming calls across individuals and groups.
