New year, new you? Implementing those life-changing decisions can be tough and takes some time, but you can at least start 2019 with fresh gadgets that are sure to help you have a good year! Here are the latest releases, from the end of 2018 to the beginning of this year.
ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M2)
If you were a fan of the big-battery bombshell known as the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1), you’ll be happy to know that the successor (M2) experienced its Philippine release in December 2018.
The M2 carries on with the huge battery capacity (still at 5000mAh), but improves on the performance, photo capability and audio. You’ll get a notch on the 6.3” FHD+ display, and a Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 1.95 GHz, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

OPPO F9 Jade Green
If you were attracted to the F9, OPPO’s mid-2018 release for the middle level of the midrange segment, but managed to resist the call of Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue and Starry Purple, this version might make you give in.
Announced at the start of 2019, the Jade Green variant of the F9 has a gorgeous green gradient on the back that ranges in shade from seafoam to malachite, and gold accents. In a word, stunning. Inside, expect the same hardware as the earlier releases (6.” FHD+ display, 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of expandable memory, 25MP front camera, etc.) and note that the series has experienced a permanent pricedrop.

Honor 10 Lite
If you wanted to get the Honor 10 in 2018 but found the price to be a little out of your budget, this might be the smartphone you were meant to have.
As the name suggests, the newly released Honor 10 Lite is the younger cousin of the Honor 10. While the screen size has grown (now a 6.21” FHD+ display) and the notch has significantly shrunk, the processor is now from a midrange tier (Kirin 710) and the RAM is lower at 3GB. Still, the Lite has a few interesting tricks up its sleeve, like various portrait lighting options and excellent low-light capability.
