Wearable technology is fast becoming a must-have, and smartwatches exemplify the best the wearable segment has to offer: not only because they incorporate some of the most advanced and most useful tech despite their small size, but also because they are great at enhancing wearers’ style and image.
The realme Watch S Pro, the latest smartwatch from realme, is one of the most noteworthy new smartwatches available today. Continue reading to be #TechAssured and to learn more about this great smartwatch!
The Watch S Pro turns heads just by sitting on a wearer’s wrist.
The Watch incorporates a sizable and bright 3.5cm/1.39in AMOLED touchscreen display with 454 x 454 pixel resolution and a high 326-pixel per inch density. Said display is made of Gorilla Glass screen to help it stay beautiful. It’s an Always-On Display: just like a traditional watch, the time is shown continuously and can easily and quickly be viewed. Despite this and its other power features, the Watch can go for as long as 14 days between charges thanks to its 420mAh battery.
The rest of the Watch S Pro is equally sturdy; its body is made of stainless steel, while its backplate is composed of polycarbonate. It comes with a wearer’s choice of silicone straps (in blue, green or orange), vegan leather (in blue, green or brown) and stainless steel (in black) to help keep it in place. The Watch itself is available only in black.
Further enhancing the Watch’s style factor is the availability of more than a hundred stylish watch faces to suit users’ moods, outfit, activity, choice of strap, and so on.
Powering the Watch S Pro is its dual-core processor, which provides power to spare and enables the Watch to offer a smooth user experience and good overall performance.
The Watch’s processor helps run a bevy of sensors, including a 6-axis accelerometer to measure vibration or acceleration; dual-satellite GPS sensors which enable independent location tracking; a gyroscope for accurate motion tracking while on the go; a heart rate sensor to detect heartbeats per minute; and a blood oxygen level checker to determine the level of oxygen of one’s blood, which is a measure of heart, lung, and overall health.
The Watch S Pro is an excellent companion for athletes of all stripes, from pros who are gearing up for competitions to everyday folks who need a device to help them become more active.
Athletes can select from any of the 15 Sports Modes, including Outdoor and Indoor Run modes, Cycling, Rowing, Strength Training, Hiking and even Yoga. A new Swimming mode makes the most of the Watch’s 5 ATM water resistance (up to 50m). Swimmers can use it to determine their swimming efficiency through tracking SWOLF (Swim Golf) and other key metrics.
Towards a healthy lifestyle
The Watch S Pro’s processor and sensors also make it a great tool to monitor and enhance one’s health. Thanks to a newly upgraded PPG (photoplethysmography) biosensor, which uses light to accurately sense blood flow rate, the Watch can offer real-time heart rate monitoring.
Other powerful health-centric features the Watch offers include the already-mentioned blood oxygen level checker; a step counter, a sleep monitor that helps track the duration and quality of one’s sleep; and meditation; drinking/hydration and sedentary-warning features.
The Watch S Pro can work with any and all modern smartphones (those running Android 5.0 and up, as well as iPhones running iOS 9 and up).
Depending on the phone, the Watch can help wearers play, pause and switch songs playing; control the phone’s camera and function as a remote shooting device; and also serve as a hub from which the wearer can see all their smartphone notifications.
The Watch links with other devices via either Bluetooth 5.0 or the realme Link AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) management platform–this latter one through an upcoming over-the-air update that will allow wearers to control a range of realme’s AIoT devices.
