Beat lockdown laziness with a #LifePowered workstation!

Working from home certainly has its advantages. For instance, you don’t have to bother with commuting or rush hour traffic, and there’s no need to wake up extra early or worry about what you’re going to wear. You could even take Zoom calls from the bathroom if you wanted, but just remember to turn the camera and/or microphone off as needed.

Yet for all of its creature comforts, home is not always the most ideal work environment. There are plenty of distractions and non-work-related responsibilities that may actually make you miss your old nine-to-five routine. Plus, all the work tools and supplies you used to take for granted are all back at the office, so you’re figuratively and literally left to your own devices.

To stay focused and be even more productive while on lockdown, you’ll need to recreate or come up with a suitable workspace of your own – and that starts with having the right gadgets.

Logitech MX Master 3

When it comes to usability, mice still beat touch pads any day – especially if your work has to do with design. The Logitech MX Master 3 wireless mouse has an especially ergonomic design that makes it easy and comfortable to use. Its MagSpeed™ magnetic scroll wheel switches from steady click-scrolling to free-spinning when you flick harder – allowing you to quickly breeze through long documents and webpages.

It also comes with a side scroll wheel for horizontal navigation, and a programmable side button that you can set to switch between apps or go back to your desktop.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

The 7th Gen ThinkPad’s lightweight yet durable design, stunning display, long battery life, and best-in-class keyboard easily make it one of this year’s top work laptops.

Its overall performance capability and build quality make it a wonderful option for both on-the-go business users and casual consumers, provided you afford the somewhat hefty price. The base model comes with a 1080p display, Core i7-8568U CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

Filco Ninja Majestouch-2

The Majestouch-2’s Cherry Blue MX key switches greatly improve the user’s typing experience, whereas its steel base and braided USB cord give it the longevity that habitual typists require.

The retail price may come as a bit of a shock to the uninitiated, but its space-saving design and military-inspired aesthetics more than make up for the expense for die-hard fans of mechanical keyboards. The black keys pair nicely with the olive, brown, and beige forest camouflage on the case, and Filco even throws in a free keycap extractor and alternate set of W, A, S, and D caps for touch typists in need of home keys.

Dell P2720DC

The Dell 27 USB-C monitor delivers the goods thanks to its wide port selection, diverse ergonomic features, and vivid, realistic-looking colors for business use. Its 27-inch screen, which comes with in-plane switching (IPS) technology and standard widescreen aspect ratio (16:9), is set in a matte-black cabinet with minimal bezels that makes it ideal for multi-monitor setups.

That said, one of the monitor’s biggest draws is how easy it would be to daisy-chain a second monitor to it, which needn’t even be the same unit or brand of monitor.

Artifox Standing Desk 02

Versus conventional desks that make it too easy to slump while sitting, Artifox’s sleek new standing desk can help improve your posture and productivity all at the same time. Sporting a decidedly understated, minimalist design that will fit nearly any home office aesthetic, the Standing Desk 02 is available in two equally-appealing types of wood – walnut and white oak.

What’s more, this well-crafted workspace also keeps all your desktop gadgets and wires looking neat with some nifty design additions like its built-in hooks, dock, and cable grip.

TaoTronics TT-DL16

This premium LED lamp’s eye-catching stainless steel design, modern glass panel touchscreen, broad range of color options, special features, and arm motion all make it well worth the price. It also comes with memory and favorite functions, as well as a night light – all of which make an even more impressive high-end package. Lastly, the TT-DL16 includes a 5V/2A charging port which lets you charge your other devices without having to unplug the lamp’s power cord.

Razer Kiyo

While the Razer Kiyo may have officially debuted back in 2018, it still remains one of the top web cameras – whether you just need it for virtual meetings or plan on becoming a professional streamer. The Kiyo delivers better video streaming image quality than most other mid-tier web cams, and its peripherals like the circular camera shape and luminescent effects are quite exceptional as well. The main attraction, however, would have to be the built-in ring of LED lights which help evenly smooth out your face while streaming indoors.

BlueParrott B550-XT

The B550-XT Bluetooth headset offers exceptional mic clarity for improved voice intelligibility and blocks out ambient sound – even in loud environments. In terms of design, the B550-XT feels light and comfortable, and offers significant cushioning in the earpads and headband. Its on-ear controls are also fairly simple, and the BlueParrott button can even be assigned to different functions via the companion app.

PLDT Home WiFi

Powered by the Philippines’ fastest mobile data network, Smart LTE, PLDT Home WiFi offers family-sized home internet for as little as P995 with no installation. For added convenience, users can even manage their accounts and request for assistance in real-time through the myPLDT Smart app.

You can also pick your preferred FamLoad package based on your family’s WiFi needs and choose from different FamLoading channels such as 7-11, Smart, PLDT, and PasaLoad.

Oppo Reno3

With its sleek metallic finish and fairly sizable display, Oppo’s mid-tier smartphone is actually pleasantly light at only 170 grams. To accomplish this, the Reno3 does away with unnecessary glass or metal elements and, instead, comes with a plastic back in a glossy and premium-looking finish. And in terms of performance, the Oppo Reno3 is able to take on heavy tasks and keep multiple apps running without lagging or sacrificing power-efficiency.
