If you’re seeking Christmas gift ideas for the gearhead in your life who also happens to be into the PS5, have we got the list for you! Check out our list of PS5 accessories as well as PS5 games that are soon to drop, in line with the launch of the PS5 itself next month. (While some of these accessories may come bundled with the PS5, we’re covering them separately for you just in case.)

DualSense Wireless Controller for PS5

First up is the completely redesigned Wireless Controller, which will launch on October 30. This one will offer users an iconic and much-loved design that harks back to past controllers while showcasing state of the art tech that drives features such as adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and a built-in microphone. (There’s a 3.5mm headset jack for those of you who want to use wired headsets when they game.) A Create button to ease production and sharing of gaming content, improved sticks, a re-envisioned light bar, and many familiar and beloved DUALSHOCK 4 features round out the controller’s impressive feature set.

PULSE 3D Wireless Headset

Sure, the DualSense Wireless Controller does come with an audio jack, but wouldn’t you want to go wireless? The PULSE 3D headset is completely wireless and comes fine-tuned for 3D audio. Dual noise-canceling microphones help guarantee an immersive gaming experience, and easy-access controls including a built-in mic mute, in-game audio and master volume help make sure that you retain full control over the sound. And a good battery helps make sure you enjoy for longer periods—up to 12 hours of play. The PULSE 3D Wireless Headset also launches on October 30.

Media Remote

Of course, the PS5 isn’t only good for gaming, you can also use it to enjoy a wide range of media. The Media Remote’s media and TV controls allow you to navigate all the entertainment available thanks to its inbuilt play/pause, fast forward and fast reverse buttons. Thanks to its deep integration with the PS5, the remote also allows for full navigation of the console. And you can even use it to adjust the volume and power settings of compatible TVs. Check for the Media Remote on October 30, too.

HD Camera

Complementing the DualSense Wireless Controller’s built-in mic, the HD Camera allows users to place themselves square in the center of their gameplay sharing with their followers and fans. This, thanks to its powerful features including dual wide-angle lenses for 1080p image and video capture as well as a built-in stand that allows it to be positioned above or below your TV as you see fit (and the PS5’s background removal tools so that you only broadcast your gaming and nothing else). October 30 is the date to watch for the HD Camera’s launch.

A Good TV

What would a state of the art console like the PS5 be like if your TV wasn’t up to scratch? You might want to consider upgrading your existing set to something like Samsung’s UN65NU8000, which is a 65in 4K UHD LED TV that displays games, movies and shows in awesome high dynamic range as well as Motion Rate 240 to ensure smooth action even as your games heat up. Or how about the Sony X90H, which is a full-array, 4K Ultra HD LED TV available in 55in, 65in, and 75in variants?

Seagate Backup Plus 2TB HDD Drive

How about also investing in an external hard drive to store all that media in? The Backup Plus 2TB 3.5-inch HDD is one of the best. It’s compact yet powerful and allows for storing some of the movies and shows you’d love to watch on your PS5 and on your beautiful new TV. USB 3.0 plug and play compatibility allow for fast loading, but you can upgrade to Thunderbolt or FireWire 800 if you feel the need for even more speed.

PS5 Games

Last but most definitely not least are the games that will be made available as the PS5 itself launches. These include Fortnite; Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition; Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered; Demon’s Souls; Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales; Assassin’s Creed Valhalla; Observer: System Redux; The Pathless; Astro’s Playroom; Sackboy: A Big Adventure; Godfall; and Destruction All-Stars. And a supposed 99% of the PS4’s game library should be playable on the PS5. Also, if you’ll be investing in a PS Plus subscription and get the PlayStation Plus Collection, you can get yourself at least 18 of the PS4’s most popular titles including God of War and The Last of Us Remastered.
