MyPhone announced the launch of its latest quad-core device, the MyPhone Iceberg which will become available on July 26 at the Eastwood City Central Plaza for Php11,988.
If you’re wondering why this seemingly budget quad-core phone is priced above P10k, it has quite remarkable specs. The 5.7-inch IPS display has an HD resolution and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for a bit of durability which goes well with its aluminum body.
This phablet is powered by a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor along with 1GB RAM plus 16GB internal storage signaling the lack of a microSD slot. It also has a 12-megapixel BSI rear camera plus a 5-megapixel front-facing one. This Android Jelly Bean device has a non-removable 2,600mAh battery.
Now as for features, aside from USB OTG which lets you plug in your external drives, the Iceberg highlights some features that are unique in its class. There’s Wireless Display that lets you connect to an external display via a WiFi connection. Clever Motion gives you that gesture commands similar to other phones. Gestures such as wave to take a photo or wave to dim, holding the phone next to your ear to answer a call, or flipping it over to mute.
It also has TARA or Theft Apprehension & Asset Recovery Application which is a proudly Pinoy app exclusive to MyPhone users that disables your device to secure data in case of theft.
If you think the Php11,988 is too much to pay for a MyPhone device, the Iceberg can still be had on 0% interest up to 24 months using your Citibank, BPI, Metrobank, and RCBC credit card. Just head to Eastwood City Central Plaza from 4PM to 12 midnight to get your hands on the MyPhone Iceberg.
